Coaching approach and style:
Through solution-focused coaching, I facilitate effective dialogue and collaboration in multicultural teams, leaning on my strengths:
- Razor-sharp vision in human dynamics. Analysing personalities, situations, relational dynamics and work-cultures, I spot individuals’ strengths, weaknesses and various underlying factors that are involved. A good “diagnosis” is a start.
- Authenticity. I ask straight and sometimes very honest questions, which means that the process is not always easy. However, I believe truth is the best strategy for an effective process.
- Respect and sensitivity. I’m a peacemaker and a community-builder by nature.
- Experience and skill. Having worked with and lead numerous multicultural teams over two decades, I’m at home amongst cultures. Certified with STOry (Suomen työnohjaajat ry), a Finnish work-life coaching umbrella.

The process:
Coaching processes are customisable, according to the needs of each organisation. A typical process consists of 3-5 group coaching sessions, spread over a couple of months. Large organisations may divide personnel into smaller coaching groups of 4-8 people. Individual sessions may be added to the package for leaders or other key personnel.
Typical process components:
- Initial consultation – analysis of the situation, charting out the course
- Session 1 – intro, getting acquainted, building trust – an important foundation for the process, starting the work
- Sessions 2-4 Taylored coaching on targeted areas. Multicultural communication & teamwork insights, pitfalls, practices. Suitable & effective tools, interactive learning methods.
- Session 5 – Closing the process: findings, results, evaluation
